The Horse Collection
A fascination for form and movement.
Horse sculptures
I’ve been drawn to horses for a long time.
There is something in their presence that feels both powerful and quiet at the same time.
When I work with the horse, I’m not trying to describe it in a realistic way.
I’m more interested in what happens when the form is reduced—when parts are simplified, stretched, or even removed. Somehow, the horse still remains. Sometimes it even becomes clearer.
The movement is important, but not in a dramatic sense.
I’m drawn to a slow, almost silent movement—a step forward, a shift of weight, a moment between stillness and motion. It’s in that small transition that something feels alive.
The long legs, the arc of the neck, the balance of the body—these elements create a kind of rhythm.
I try to follow that rhythm rather than control it.
Working this way, the horse becomes less about anatomy and more about presence.
A form that carries both strength and vulnerability at the same time.
